Cegals consultancy division helps our customers to build and manage business solutions and digital enablers in their quest for a more optimized operating model. Either as members of customer driven projects or as-a-service.

We are looking for:

A service responsible for the Business Applications & Digital Enablers service: 

You are customer oriented with ~10 years’ experience within software engineering. You have experience in leading knowledge development and deliveries. There will be no sales KPI's but a key objective for the service responsible is to contribute to and be driven by commercialization and growth. Hence, we need you to be a good collaborator and motivator, versatile and enthusiastic. At times we need you as a resourceful contributor in business development processes, early customer engagement and sales related activities. We appreciate if you understand both IT and Business. You lead by example and trust your colleagues. You will be our single point of contact for customers, understand the value of compromise, and will engage with resource owners in assigning resources to projects.

Qualifications:

In Cegal, software engineering is not so much about tools, languages, code-frameworks, or IDE's. It is more about finding the right approach to resolving business challenges in a cost-efficient manner.

We invite you to present your academic and experience-based platform to us, but we are also interested in getting to know your personality and drivers.

Being a consultant means that our customers define our roles. Instead of limiting to certain positions and roles we list a snapshot of what is important to our customers, and we take it for granted that you can check some of them:

  • Development: Full stack, frontend, web, backend, database
  • Cloud: Architecture/advisory for customer cloud platform and -projects (Azure, Amazon, Google...)
  • Cognitive computing: AI/ML/NLP
  • Customization: Business 2 business or system 2 system interfaces
  • Low code/no code: Business automation/business applications, e.g., Power Platform/Robotics
  • ... or tell us about what you think are relevant experience/skills

Most customer driven engagements organize work according to agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and DevOps principles. Our consultants understand ITIL principles, customers' underlying IT operating models, and thrive on transforming what is important to customers into cost-efficient solutions.

Formal requirements:

  • Formal education from university level (Bachelor/Master).
  • Relevant courses and certifications
  • Preferably experience from energy, maritime or other asset intensive industries
  • Master the Norwegian and English language, both written and verbally
  • Good oral and written presentation skills

About the hiring process:
